February 12 during worship: African American Spirituals as Codes for Escape to Freedom.
Lenten theme for worship February 26-April 2: Give It Up! A sermon series on giving up behaviors and attitudes that impede our joy and taking on behaviors that allow us to become more fully ourselves as followers of Jesus.
Lenten Study on the Events of Holy Week: join Pastor Dawn at the church for a delve into the Bible learning about the events of Jesus’ life from Palm Sunday through Good Friday. The Study begins Ash Wednesday, February 22 from 10 am – 11:30 am and will meet every Wednesday morning through March 29. Come to anyone or all 6 sessions.
Flood Buckets
One of The Mission Committee’s activities is to make flood buckets for distribution by Church World Mission. Each bucket contains dozens of cleaning and safety items that can be used by families recovering from natural disasters.
